There are at least 1,125,374,532 (billion) websites on the World Wide Web (2023). (Source Siteefy.com). The problem is that only 18% are active. 82% of all websites on the World Wide Web have been abandoned. So, what does this mean? In context, it is like driving in your car to the airport and hitting a traffic jam. You get out of your car and leave it right there. That is basically what it means. Now we do not have to speculate about the reasons because by now, it should be evident that it is a result of the inability to stand out from the crowd when it comes to service and product providers as well as the enormous amount of money required for marketing to make an impact. Most notable is that product and service providers must be more skilled in protecting their websites against scams, phishing, fake profiles, and websites. The World Wide Web is also unregulated because regulators can’t monitor 1,2 billion websites, so the World Wide Web remains unmonitored and unregulated. Therefore, the World Wide Web cannot be re-constructed to adhere to policies and procedures. For this reason, we believe that The New Global Web, founded on solid principles, is the only way to a safer and more desirable platform to transact on the Internet.
Furthermore, of the 18% of websites active on the OPEN World Wide Web, only approximately 50% are safe. (Source cybercrime). The other 50% belongs to undesirable operators who open and close websites randomly, clone them, scam innocent and vulnerable citizens worldwide and close them again. A lot of these websites’ primary functions are to provide fake news. The Dark Web is also a part of this group, with the only difference being that, unlike the World Wide Web, it has a HIDDEN door policy. This means that you need to be part of this group whose primary function is to partake in undesirable practices leaving citizens vulnerable to falling victim or being victimised by unscrupulous persons and their nefarious deeds.
